At that point, your Denon AVR or network audio device will be ready for the next source. To end your AirPlay session, deselect your Denon device from the iTunes or Music application of your Apple iOS device. You can also use the Denon Remote App (free download from the Apple Store) to skip forward to the next track or back to the previous track. You can then control which tracks you want to hear from the iOS device or you also have limited control using the Denon device's remote control. You will also see meta data, such as Artist, Title, and Album Art on your monitor. Once you select a track, the AVR or network audio device will automatically switch to the necessary source (ie: NET/USB or Network) to receive the AirPlay communication. This will allow your Denon device to connect to your iOS device via the local network.Īt that point, you're ready to playback audio tracks using AirPlay. Select your Denon AVR or network audio device by checking it. Once found, select the icon and this will open up a listing of external devices to connect to. Look for the AirPlay icon towards the bottom right of the iOS device's screen. To use AirPlay, please make sure your Denon AVR or network device is connected to your local network.(LAN) Then, open up your iOS device's Music folder or iTunes. If you are having issues connecting your computer to the projector using AIRPLAY you may have to download the Sharelink Software. For video support, you can use an Apple TV to stream videos or movies. The AirPlay compatibility software in the AVR is for audio only and will not support video. This communication works to use your iOS device (iTunes) as a media server so that your audio files can be streamed through the local network and out to your Denon receiver or network device. AirPlay is software that allows your Apple devices (iOS devices) and your AVR to communicate.
